Harriett Mason Walker, 76, of Brady, died Thursday, June 5 in Brady. Funeral services were held Monday, June 9 at 2 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Rev. Selestor Johnson and Rev. Ernest Kirk officiating. Burial followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery. She was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Brady, to Henry Mason and Lytha (Houston) Mason. She married Louis Walker Jr. in 1960 in Brownwood. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and a professional singer in El Paso for several years. She is survived by a son, Louis Walker, Jr. of Brady; a daughter, Wynona Williams and husband, Morris, of Brady; two sisters, Lucille Weaver of San Angelo and Blanche James of Austin; and four grandchildren, LaGina Williams, Sherri Williams and Valerie Williams, all of San Antonio and Curtis Williams of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Willie G. Mason, Charles Mason, Joseph Mason, Lincoln (Widey) Mason and Joel Mason; and a sister, Clara Mason.
