Twelve beautiful young ladies will be poised for greatness Saturday, June 14 as they compete for the title of Miss Heart of Texas, 2003. The theme of this year’s pageant is “More Than Just a Pretty Face,” and the event will get underway at 7 p.m. in the Brady High School auditorium. Emcees for this year’s event are Bill and Michelle Derrick. Jill Mays and Holly Stewart will serve as chairmen. Those competing for the coveted crown are: Chelsey Bandy, daughter of Todd and Lori Bandy; Misty Covey, daughter of Elizabeth Covey; Summer Friar, daughter of Roger and Dana Friar; Megan Griffith, daughter of Glenn and Karla Griffith; Crystal Harmon, daughter of Todd and Michelle Harmon; Samantha Johnstone, daughter of Ernie and Kathy Johnstone; Jasmine Lafuente, daughter of Fernando and Sally Lafuente; Also, Stacy Lohn, daughter of Jackie Lohn and Bill Lohn; Chelsea Rutherford, daughter of Rodney Rutherford and Jo Kelly Rutherford; Nicole Schwertner, daughter of Timothy and Dajana Schwertner; Jana Solsbery, daughter of Nelson and Peggy Solsbery; and Brooke Young, daughter of Brad and Tammy Childs and Allen Young.
