RENITA ORTEGON ESCAMILLA was among those who received degrees during Angelo State University’s commencement ceremonies conducted Saturday, May 10. A graduate of Eden High School, she is the daughter of Alfred and Tina Ortegon. She earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and was honored on the Dean’s List. She is the granddaughter of Angelina Bara of Brady and Guadalupe Ortegon of Eden. She was honored with a dinner by her family and friends. Her husband, Joe took her on a five-day trip to Cozumel, Mexico. They have a four-year-old son, Mason. Brandalynn Lee Ward, daughter of Thomas and Christine Ward of Midland graduated from Midland High School, Saturday, May 31. She is the granddaughter of Leonard and Janice Westra of Lohn. While a student of Midland High School she accomplished the following: honor student; National Honor Society member, three consecutive years; Honors Orchestra, three years consecutive; French Foreign Language Festival award winner, three blue ribbons; Business Professionals of America member; Girls State Citizen; and Who’s Who Among High School Students. She was also the recipient of the Abell-Hanger Scholarship and will attend Midland College this fall.
