BROWNWOOD Water fairly clear; Black bass are good on silver/white topwaters and chrome spinnerbaits. Striped bass are good on chrome/white striper jigs, slabs, and silver spoons. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow. BUCHANAN Water clear; 79 degrees; 1017.50′; Black bass are good on 1/4 oz. blue/white/chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, clear Rat-L-Tops, and blue 6″ Texas-rigged Scoundrel worms along stumps and brushpiles at daylight in 5-10 feet. Pumpkin Tiny-T jigs with #101 Uncle Josh Pork trailers and shallow-running crankbaits work well later in the day as bass move to shade. Striped bass are good trolling white/chartreuse Hyper Striper jigs and drifting live bait in 28 feet. Good subsurface action at daylight on Rat-L-Traps and walking baits like a Spook. White bass are fair on gray back 2″ Li’l Fishie Shads and Tiny Traps along sloping creek points in 20 feet. Crappie are slow on blue/white Tiny Tubes and minnows in 15 feet. Channel catfish are good on minnows and worms at night. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. COLEMAN Water clear; 74 degrees; Black bass are fair but small on purple and junebug colored lizards. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish to 50 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. COLORADO RIVER (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water fairly clear; Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair to good on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish are slow. GRANBURY Water stained; 72 degrees; 692.63′; Many fish have died from the golden algae, but it appears to be clearing. Black bass, white bass, and striped bass are slow up the river from Oak Trail shores to Possum Kingdom. LBJ Water clearing; 80 degrees; 824.87′; Black bass are good on white/chartreuse Terminator buzzbaits, Silver Shiner Rat-L-Traps, and 6″ Ice Tea Scoundrel worms along seawalls and docks in 3-6 feet early. White bass are good on 1/8 oz. in-line spinnerbaits and bleeding shiner Tiny Traps at night. Crappie are good on white Curb’s crappie jigs and minnows at night. Channel catfish are good on worms, liver, and minnows. Yellow and blue catfish are good on trotlines. NASWORTHY Water lightly stained; 73 degrees; Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and live bait. Crappie are fair. Redfish are fair. White bass and striped bass are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on live bait. OH. IVIE Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 21′ low; Black bass are good on live bait, or dark jigs and plastics. Crappie are fair on live bait and jigs. White bass are good on live bait. Smallmouth bass are fair. Catfish are good on trotlines. PROCTOR Water clear; 68 degrees; 1161.70′; Black bass are fair on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are good on slabs and striper jigs. White bass are good on slabs and spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are good on perch. SAM RAYBURN Water clear; 75 degrees; 164.17′; Black bass are good on yellow magic topwaters near shallow willow grass early and late, and on watermelon or cotton candy Carolina-rigged french fries or lizards on main lake flats. Crappie are good trolling black/chartreuse Road Runners over the grass. Catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch and prepared baits. SWEETWATER Water lightly stained; 77 degrees; 20′ low; Black bass are fair on live bait, large tubes and jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on live bait. TOLEDO BEND Water lightly stained north, clear south; 76 degrees; 171′; Black bass are good on watermelon and red bug Carolina-rigged French Fries on points and humps with grass adjacent to deeper water, and on firetiger and chartreuse/blue deep-diving crankbaits on humps and creek channel bends. Crappie are good on red Road Runners with black/chartreuse trailers over south lake grass beds. Catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch and bloodbait. TRAVIS Water clear; 78 degrees; Black bass to 3 pounds are good on chrome topwaters, red plastic worms, and grubs in 10-25 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass to 1 pound are fair on chrome topwaters and crippled herring spoons in 10-30 feet. Crappie to 1 pound are fair on minnows and blue and white tube jigs in 12-25 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 6 pounds are fair on fresh cutbait and bloodbait in 20-40 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
