Marilyn (Amos) Charles, 53, of Brownwood, died Tuesday, May 27 , in Brownwood. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel Friday, May 30 at 4 p.m. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery of Menard. She was born Nov. 24, 1949, in Menard, to Edgar Preston, Jr. and Lucille (Nixon) Amos. She married Tony Charles June 14, 1969, in Zephyr. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Tony Charles of Brownwood; a son, Kelly Charles and wife, Sharla, of Brownwood; a daughter, Michelle Charles of Dallas; her mother, Lucille Amos of Menard; three brothers, Alan Amos of Eden, Mike Amos of Menard and Lynn Amos of San Angelo; two sisters, Toni Amos of Menard and Janelle Mogford of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Chris William, Betty Deering, Emilie Deering and Tracillia Charles, all of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
