St. James Baptist Church celebrates 95 years

St. James Baptist Church of Brady will be celebrating its 95th year with an anniversary and homecoming on May 15-16 at 7 p.m. each night. Refreshments will be served in the J.J. Jossey Fellowship Hall. On Thursday, the Rev. A. C. Blake of Brownwood will deliver the gospel message. Guest churches will be Jesus Christ Church, Greater Faith, Mt. Moriah Baptist, New Life Outreach and True Vine Baptist. On Friday, the message will be delivered by Rev. Jesse Turner. Guest churches will be Little Zion Baptist Church, New Light Baptist Church, Bible Baptist Church, Christian Community Church and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. On Sunday, May 18, the theme of the service will be “Becoming Who God Called Us To Be.” The gospel message will be delivered at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Matthew Lubin. Dinner will be served between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. and again after 3:30 for late arrivals. Guest churches on Sunday will be Macedonia Baptist of Abilene; Mt. Zion Baptist of Brownwood; St. Luke Baptist of Eldorado; Lee Chapel of Brownwood; True Vine Baptist of Coleman; Gethsemane Church; Resurrection Power of Brady; Mt. Calvary COGIC; St. Willow Baptist of Santa Anna and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
