Vincenta M. Sandoval, 91, of Brownwood and formerly of Melvin, died Thursday, May 8 in Brownwood. Funeral services were held Monday, May 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Melvin. Burial followed in the Melvin Cemetery. Born April 5, 1912, in Del Rio, she was the daughter of Marciano and Hilda Montalvo. She married Manuel Sandoval Sr. in August in Paint Rock. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Melvin. While she spent most of her life in the Melvin community, she was a resident of Brownwood for 13 years. She is survived by three sons, Pedro DelaRosa and wife, Angie, Manuel Sandoval Jr. and Arnold Sandoval and wife, Virginia, all of Brownwood; four daughters, Gloria Arellano and husband, Marciano and Clara Martinez, also of Brownwood, Ophilia Perez and husband, Ruben and Elvira Adame, all of Arlington; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and seven brothers and sisters.
