Top ten seniors honored

The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday evening, May 6, at the South Ward Cafeteria to honor the top ten seniors of 2003. Guests were the parents of these students, school personnel and Rotary spouses and friends. Lynn Munden, Rotarian and school counselor, introduced each student. The students introduced their parents and then gave a summary of some of their school activities, as well as their future plans. The students are Matthew Fields, son of Leston and Margaret Fields; Blake Andrews, son of Matthew and Kay Andrews; Thomas Castro, son of Pete and Mary Ann Castro; Russell Dean, son of Robert and Jacki Dean; Clifton Tally, son of Dale and Sherry Tally; Kayce Pollock, daughter of Angie Turner and Kevin Pollok; Erin Rainey, daughter of Tobin and Cheryl Rainey; Bryson Owen, son of Brian and Judy Owen; Ryan Schmidt, son of Bobby and Kerry Schmidt and Patrick Smith, son of Mike and Cheryl Smith. (Patrick is in college, so his mother spoke for him.) Rotary president Jeanagayle Behrens introduced school personnel guests; Preasley and Nancy Cooper, Lisa Land, Fay and Dee Parks and Jason Jacoby. Jeanagayle then called on the Rotarians to introduce themselves and their spouse or guest. Those attending were Jeanagayle Behrens, Dayton Boren and wife, Virginia; Brad Bowen, Steve DeFiore, Susan Delk and husband, Kevin; Max Gordon and wife, Nancy; Charlie Humphreys; Connie Locklear and husband, Jimmy; Bill Mann and wife, Dorothy; Lynn Munden, Sue Owens and husband, Monte; Jim Ricks and Jana Miller; William H. Ricks and wife, Billie; Orlando Rubio, Michael Schaffner and wife, Betty; Mike Seidenberger, Tom Swearingen and Clair Whitesell and wife, Anna Lu. Brian Wiggins is program chairman for May 13 and Sandra Youree is program chairman for May 20.
