Fredericksburg coach to instruct tennis camp

The Heart of Texas Tennis Camp will swing back into action June 23-26 at the Brady High School tennis courts. Two sessions will be offered with the 2003 tennis camp, the first from 8-10 a.m. for beginners and the second from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for intermediate/advanced players. The camp will cover the basic skills of tennis including forehand, backhand, volley, serve, overhead, match play and tournament preparation. The cost is $45 per person (T-shirt included). Camp instructors are Randall King, head tennis coach at Fredericksburg High School; Carl Langerhans, former Hardin-Simmons University tennis player; Jack Sanchez, current Sul Ross player; Lohn High School coach Anna Freeman; and former Fredericksburg High School player Albert Gonzales. “The goal for camp instructors is to give kids the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, structured and safe environment,” said King.
