Cecil Victor Schill, 83, of Brady, died Sunday, May 4 in Brady. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, Pastor Lewis Groce officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Johnson, Paul Probst, Kenny Brueggeman, Fernando Nandin, Leslie Schumann and Jon Paul Williams. Honorary pallbearers are L.A. Gotcher, Jessie Torres, Virgil Schulein, R.C. Zesch, Bill Ricks, Bill Huffman, Weldon Hurst, Gary Schill and Danny Schill. Born June 22, 1919, in Ardmore, Okla., he was the son of Otto A. Schill and Mamie Hermina (Rhode) Shill. He married Mildred Hurst on Dec. 19, 1944, in San Angelo. He was a furniture salesman for Ricks Furniture in Brady from 1958 to 1992. A resident of the area since 1958, he was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Brady and was an Air Force veteran of WWII. He was also a member of the Mercury Post of the American Legion. Survivors include his spouse, Mildred (Pat) Schill of Brady; a son, Victor Schill of Houston; two sisters, Leona Lawrence of San Angelo and Hermoine Bunderen of Brownwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
