Glynn Earl Ivey, 55, of Eustache, died Thursday, April 3 in Dallas. Funeral services were held Monday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Rev. Kenneth Barr officiating. Burial followed in the Rockwood Cemetery. Born Aug. 7, 1947, in Quitman, Miss., he was the son of Andrew Jackson Ivey and Eula Lee (Cox) Ivey. He married Kim Estes on Oct. 23, 1983, in Dallas. He was an auto body technician for Lone Star Peterbilt (now Dallas Peterbilt) for 27 years, retiring in July of 2000. Following his retirement, he enjoyed building model cars, fishing, painting and riding horses. A Baptist, he was a resident of Eustache for one year, moving there from Irving where he had lived for 23 years. He is survived by his mother, Eula Lee Ivy of Quitman, Miss.; his spouse, Kim Ivey of Eustache; a son, Dewayne Costin of Houston; two daughters, Tammie Ivey Rankin and husband, David, also of Houston and Robin Ivey Aaron and husband, Bobby, of Stonewall, Miss.; a brother, Larry Wayne Ivey of Quitman, Miss.; two sisters, Karen Ivey and Ellen Goff, both of Quitman, Miss.; and four grandchildren, Robby Aaron, Christopher Aaron, Corrie Rankin and Lauren Rankin. He was preceded in death by his father.
