TxDOT seeking public input on McCulloch job

Construction of an urban curb and gutter section on U.S. Hwy. 87 South in Brady from Commerce Street to U.S. Hwy. 190 West, is just one of the transportation projects that will be discussed at a public hearing held by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Adams Street Community Center in Brownwood. ‘The meeting will focus on future transportation plans in Brownwood, Coleman and McCulloch Counties. The public will be given a first-hand look at new projects scheduled during the next several years and will have an opportunity to express ideas and concerns about the present system,’ said Brownwood district engineer Lynn Passmore. “We want to know if we’re addressing the transportation needs of the area,” he said. “Public input is critical to our planning process.” Two TxDOT projects in Brown County that will also be discussed are the reconstruction of Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 3064 from U.S. Hwy. 377 to Custer Road, the construction of FM Road 3064 from Morris Shepherd Drive to FM Road 45. The remaining project to be addressed in the meeting will be the widening of two railroad overpasses in Coleman on U.S. Hwy. 84. Public meetings have also been scheduled for Thursday, April 3 in Eastland and Thursday, April 17 in Lampasas.
