The election for the two positions on the Brady City Council has five candidates planning strategies and campaigns for the May 5 event. Dusty Hodges and Rey Garza are challenging incumbent Matt Mills for Place 3 on the council. Richard Webb is challenging Jesse McAnally for place 2. Early voting will be held April 16-29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the city secretary’s office inside City Hall. Again this year in the weeks prior to the election, the Brady Standard-Herald will be printing questions asked and answered of the candidates in the city election. Several questions have been made in a list and the newspaper is asking for additional questions readers wish to be included in the questionnaire. The newspaper will be accepting questions via telephone, email or fax through 4 p.m. Friday, April 4. All questions must include name and contact information of the person submitting the question. The questions and answers will be published in subsequent issues in an effort to enlighten and inform Brady voters of the issues and platforms that are important to each candidate in the upcoming election.
