Plans are underway for the annual Kimble County Gun & Knife Show and Flea Market. This year’s show will be held on April 12 and 13 at the Coke Stevenson Building in Junction. The show will have 80 tables of guns, knives, ammunition, etc. Gun dealers from all over the state of Texas will be on hand to show their collections or just help shoppers find the right gun for their hunt. Dealers around the state praise the Kimble County Gun Show as “one of the best in Texas.” The flea market that is adjacent to the gun show always offers something for everyone. The Senior Center is selling chances for a shotgun to be given the last day of the show. The chances are $1 each or six for $5. The daily admission fee of $3 will also get visitors a free chance at the shotgun. The Senior Center will also be selling chances for a handmade quilt to be raffled April 13. The Gun & Knife Show and Flea Market are sponsored by the Kimble County Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center. The show is a major fund-raiser to help keep the meal programs available for the handicaped and elderly of Kimble County. The doors open at 9 a.m. and the show will continue until 5 p.m. on Saturday and again on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact Patricia Chenault at (915) 446-3621.
