Members of the Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers’ Association in District 7 will meet on Friday, April 4, at Lone Star Barbecue in Brady. The meeting will begin at 6: 30 p.m. with a meal hosted by Capitol Federal Land Bank of Mason. The business portion of the meeting will get under way immediately following the meal. TSGRA officers will be on hand to report on bills that are currently working their way through Congress and the state legislature, the Wool & Mohair Marketing Loan, and the American Lamb Board, which is authorized under the Lamb Promotion, Research and Information Order. They will also discuss other TSGRA activities conducted on behalf of sheep and goat producers. A discussion will also be held on old ranching practices for sheep and goats. The meeting will conclude with election of directors for the 2003-2004 term. District 7 is composed of the counties of Brown, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, McCulloch, Mason, Mills and San Saba. Current directors are: Mason’Janet Willmann; Brady’ Dick Winters; San Saba’Joe R. Miller; Lohn’Klein Reed and Stuart H. Speck; Melvin’David Holubec. Herman Moore of Brownwood and Jule Richmond of Blanket are association past presidents. Honorary Directors for Life are: David Bratton, Rochelle; Willie Ray Willmann, Mason; Herman Hitzfelder, Jr. of Art; Charles Hartman and Clemens Rode, Llano; Glynn Sanders, Mullin; and E. F.
