Morris, Beimer exchange vows at Calvary Temple Assembly of God

Gayla DeAnn Morris and Travis Mark Beimer were united in marriage Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001 at 4 p.m. in the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Brady with Rev. Gaylon Morris, father of the bride, and Rev. Charles Partin, uncle of the bride, officiating. The bride is the daughter of Gaylon and Debra Morris of Brady and the granddaughter of Evelyn Morris of Brady and Peggy Turner of San Saba. The groom is the son of Sammy and Lynn Flores of Brady and Glen and Laura Beimer of Anahuac and grandson of Cordula Beimer of Ballinger and Jackie Jarrell of Tulsa, Okla., and Sam and Ester Flores of Plains, Kan. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted to the altar on the arm of her father. She was wearing a full-length gown with pearls and sequins adorning the bodice, back and hemline of the full skirt and train. The bride carried a tier bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath. Shawna Martin of Morgan Mill, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Yanelley Littlejohn of Cedar Hill, Carol Banda of Arizona and Janell Vaughn of Brady, all friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids. The bride’s attendants wore dresses of periwinkle satin. The flower girl, Maci McDonald of Brownwood, niece of the groom, wore a white dress to match the bride. Jason Morris of Brady, brother of the bride, served as best man. Victor Moron of Pflugerville and Cole Garrison of Austin, both friends of the groom, and Joshua Morris of Brady, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen. The ring bearer was Keegan Torres of Brownwood, nephew of the groom. Serving as ushers were Joshua Morris and Andrew Engdahl. The guests were greeted and registered by Candy Stidham. Wedding music was provided by Justin and Zac McFarland. Before taking the wedding vows, Yanelley Littlejohn sang “Cherish the Treasure.” As the couple lit the unity candle, Justin McFarland sang “Bind Us Together.” He also sang “I Give You My Heart.” Following the ceremony, a reception and dinner was held at the Caf’ at the Depot. The bride is a 1995 graduate of home school and a 2001 graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University. She is currently employed as a Pre-K teacher at Northward Elementary School in Brady. The groom is a 1993 graduate of Brady High School. He is currently employed at Owens & Farris. After a trip to Taos, N. Mex., the couple is making their home in Lohn.
