Lohn Eagles miss chance for bi-district round

The Lohn Varsity Eagles battled Brookesmith last week but were unsuccessful at capturing a win. The Mustangs persevered, 60-43. Led by Bill Fore with 13 points, the Eagles “Had a good team effort,” said Lohn coach Leon Freeman. Other scorers for Lohn were Riley McFarland 7, Richard Bivens and Garrett Bloomer each with 6, Matt Orosco and Brandon Pearce both with 4 and Jason Bloomer 3. Score by quarters: Lohn 11 8 9 15’43 Brookesmith 16 10 18 16’60 The loss to the Mustangs forced the Eagles to a match against Richland Springs last Friday night for the second place district title. Luck wasn’t on the Eagles’ side once again as they fell to the Coyotes, 45-35. Leading the Eagles on the scoreboard Friday night was McFarland with 9, Orosco, Fore and Chance Anderson each with 6, Bivens with 4 and Pearce and Bloomer both with 2.
