Floy Otte Faulkner, 93, of Lampasas, died Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. A graveside memorial service for burial of cremated remains was held Saturday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. at Camp San Saba Cemetery, Rev. Don Ziriax officiating. Born Oct. 30, 1908, she was the daughter of Leonard M. Ludwick and Lillie H. (Paulus) Ludwick. She married Hugo G. Otte on Dec. 18, 1938. They were married for 32 years. He passed away in 1971. She later married Richard R. Faulkner on Sept. 8, 1975. Married for 14 years, he passed away in 1990. She worked in and around Brady for 88 years where she was employed by several area grocery stores. Growing up in Pear Valley, she graduated from high school in 1926. She was very athletic and excelled in numerous sports. She was active in the Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Brady VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens Auxiliary. Moving from Brady, she was a resident of Lampasas for 5 and one-half years where she lived with her daughter and family. She is survived by a daughter, Lynfred Jo Spivey and husband, Leonard, of Lampasas; four grandchildren, Lisa Smith Hall and husband, Paul, of Lampasas, Amanda Spivey, also of Lampasas, Serina Spivey and husband, David, of Cedar Park and Rickey E. Smith and wife, Jeannie, of Lampasas; four great-grandchildren and her loving cat of 12 years, Amber. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Peggy Louise Otte; her parents; a brother, Mel Ludwick; and a sister, Ruby Ludwick. The family requests that memorials be made to either the Lampasas Public Library or F.M. Richards Memorial Library in Brady.
