Still having trouble getting over the hump, the Brady Bulldogs lost another one-point game, this time to Ingram here last Friday, 60-59. “We are just having problems finishing games,” Brady coach Shawn Dalbert said after the contest. “Ingram had a large advantage in size, but we still kept them off the boards and limited them many times to only one shot. We also pushed the ball down the court and made a bunch of easy buckets. However, we cannot seem to get a break and win the close ones,” he said. The game was close all the way. The Dogs led after the first quarter, 19-18 and were on top 30-28 at intermission. The fourth period began with the score tied at 41-41, but the Warriors went ahead just before the buzzer and won the game by a single point. Ingram also won the earlier matchup between the two teams by one, 58-57. “I felt our defense took them out of the game in the final quarter, but they still came out on top,” Dalbert said. “I was proud of the kids. They played hard and closed from 10 points back to one in the final seconds.” The Bulldogs are now 8-16 overall and 1-6 in district competition. They will be at Wimberley Tuesday (tonight).
