Annual fund-raiser slated this Sunday

TREASURED PAINTING’This Frank Roddie painting will be raffled off at the annual St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Mardi Gras celebration scheduled for this coming Sunday at the South Ward cafeteria. Pictured are St. Paul’s representatives Judy Trollinger (left) and Nancy Evridge. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will again be holding its annual Mardi Gras celebration on Sunday, Feb. 10. The tradition of a Louisana-style chicken and sausage gumbo meal will accompany the French Market which will offer homemade crafts, foods, collectibles and various other items for people to purchase. Yet another oil on canvas painting by local artist Frank Roddie will be raffled off and another painting by Larry Bridges donated by Jay and Lisa Moreno will be auctioned off. Proceeds from the event will go to local charitites. The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the South Ward cafeteria located on W. 11th Street. Takeout orders can be called in to 597-2529.
