The McCulloch County Extension Service, along with North Ward Elementary, Head Start and Methodist Health Care Ministries, will conduct a parenting education workshop on three forthcoming Thursdays, Feb. 7, 21 and March 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the Brady Head Start Center located at 601 West 10th Street (the old South Ward campus). The workshop will focus on parents of young children, birth through five years of age. Program topics for Thursday, Feb. 7 will touch on child growth and age-appropriate activities and nutrition. Topics for Feb. 21 will include health, safety and nutrition, and the third Thursday evening workshop will feature topics on discipline and communication. The workshops are free and are open to the public. Child care will be provided, and light refreshments will be served. Certificates will be given to parents attending all three sessions.
