Turnovers and lack of patience proved to be the downfall of the Brady freshman girls Tuesday when the Liberty Hill Panthers dominated the Bulldogs, 43-11, there. “Despite all of the effort, hustle and determination, the girls were not able to put together four quarters of solid basketball,” said coach Micki Templeton. “We took good shots, but there were times when we would get into too big of a hurry and turn the ball over giving the Panthers easy layups. We also didn’t do a very good job of blocking out their offensive push and rebounding.” Brady made only four of 33 shots, had 24 turnovers, 14 rebounds and seven steals. “As always, I am pleased with the girls’ effort, hustle and determination,” said Templeton. “The fact that they played hard the entire game and never gave up speaks highly of their character. They fight to the end.” Beth Ross was the high point person on the night with seven. Penny Davis posted one, Rene Botello added two and Brittney Parks added one.
