Liberty Hill’s Panthers tripped up the Brady Bulldogs last Tuesday night, 73-43, in a game that left the Dogs 1-5 in district play. “We have just got to shoot better if we are to win on the road,” Brady coach Shawn Dalbert said. “We took too many wild shots.” He said the Bulldogs executed their defense well most of the game and closed the Panthers’ lead to six in the third period. “But we hit the wall and I looked up a couple of minutes later and they were back up by 15 points,” Dalbert said. The team overall has a tendency to play poorly at times offensively, he said, “and that has an effect on our defensive play.” Liberty Hill, who beat the Dogs in overtime when they played at Brady in the first round, took an 18-8 lead after the first period and were up 37-25 at halftime. The Panthers iced the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Doggies, 20-7 in that period. Luke Price led the Brady offense, scoring 12 points, all coming from three-point range. “The kids played hard throughout; we just came up short,” Dalbert said. Brady will host Ingram here Friday (tonight). Score by quarters: Brady 8 17 11 7’43 Liberty Hill 18 19 16 20’73 Brady scorers: C.J.
