How would you like to win a $1,500 trip for two to Hawaii’! If you can’t take the trip, how about $1,000 cash’! The West Texas Lions Eye Bank is raising funds by selling raffle tickets, and they are available from Lion Randy Richards, or other members of the Brady Lions Club. The tickets are $2.00 each, or 3 for $5.00. Only 10,000 tickets have been printed, so your chance of winning is much better than it is the state’s lottery games. And, your donation may help someone who needs a corneal transplant to see again. That means that you’re a winner, even if your name isn’t drawn! There were 27 members at the Brady Lions Club’s regular noon meeting on January 24th. Guests present were Tracey Williams, with her husband Lion Buster Williams, Dr. Rene Anderson with Lion Dr. Steve DeFiore, and Gary Schroeder with Lion James Long. Lion Clay Jones brought himself as the program speaker. (Is that so he wouldn’t have to pay for someone else’s lunch’) He gave a wrap up report on the success of the McCulloch County Junior Livestock Show and Sale. The statistics have already been published, so I’ll just remind you that the Brady Lions Club donated $500 for the youngsters. (‘We Serve’) Attention Brady Lions Club Board of Directors! Your next meeting is at 7:00 in the morning, Monday, February 11th. The club’s next business meeting will be the following Thursday, February 14th. February 7th has been designated as an ‘All Members’ meeting. Let’s see if we can get all of the Brady Lions to assemble in one ‘pride’ on that day. We’ll look forward to it.
