Llano nips Dog JV in final seconds

Llano JV made its free throws in the final 30 seconds of the game here last Tuesday and downed the Brady JV in a tight game, 55-51. “It was a close game all the way,” Brady coach Larry Hoelscher said. “We had a few turnovers in the final minutes, and our poor shooting kept Llano in the game.” Tied at 51-all with 34 seconds left in the contest, the Bulldogs committed a turnover, and the Jackets made one of two free throws. “Then we were fouled, missed both free throws and we fouled and they converted another. After an intentional foul, they made the two free throws, and took the win,” Hoelscher said. “It was kind of sad because we could have won,” the coach said. John Moore led the Brady attack with 16 points. Score by quarters: Llano JV 11 18 8 18’55 Brady JV 15 10 13 13’51 Brady scorers: Carter McBee 6, Ben Cruz 10, John Moore 16, Oscar Villarreal 2, Jeremy Shields 9, Chris Airheart 8.
