The seventh grade B boys team took on Burnet and continued their undefeated season with a 27-22 win. Will Schumann led the scoring with seven while Dusty Beard posted five, Nick Kwast added four and Robert Smith, Jaime Taylor and Juan Felipe each put up three. Justin Friar rounded out the scoring with two. The team finished up the week and participated in the Santa Anna tournament last week and went one of two against two opponents with the loss as their first and only defeat on the season. In the first round, the Bulldogs played a solid game on both offense and defense as they handed the team from Veribest a 43-21 defeat. The second round ended up being the championship round as the Bulldogs faced a tough Panther Creek team comprised of several seventh and eighth graders. “These boys were very tall and we could not control the boards and Panther Creek went on to win the game and the tournament, 49-23,” said coach Oscar Villa. The seventh grade B team’s record is now 8-1 with the loss as their only blemish on the season.
