On Saturday, April 13, quilters will start lining up their favorite pieces of work for the 4th Annual Quilt & Craft Show, sponsored annually to benefit the McCulloch County Senior Citizens Center. Held annually at the Heart of Texas Civic Center located on U.S. Hwy. 87 North in Brady, the Senior Center Advisory Board will once again sponsor the non-judged show. The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a $2 admission donation. A sandwich luncheon will be available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Entry forms are available from the Senior Citizens Center located at 214 West Lockhart or those interested in the event may send a self addressed stamped envelope to: Quilt & Craft Show, 214 West Lockhart, Brady, Tex. 76825-4108. Limited vendor space will be available, and items for sale must be handcrafted (no manufactured goods will be accepted). If interested, stop by or call the Senior Citizens Center at 915-597-2946. A fee schedule will be available at that location. Deadline for vendor reservations, as well as return deadlines for entry forms, is March 13, 2002. “The 3rd Annual Quilt & Craft Show was a success last year, and we are certainly looking forward to an even more successful event this year,” said Murri Mills, president, advisory board/chair for the Quilt & Craft Show.
