Liberty Hill twins score 38 as Lady Bulldogs fall, 71-39

Two “move-ins” to Liberty Hill poured in 38 points as the Lady Panthers beat the Brady Lady Bulldogs in a District 26-3A basketball game here last Friday night, 71-39. The Lady Dawgs are 0-3 in district play. “The Pauley twins who moved into the Liberty Hill ISD paced visitors by scoring more than half of their team’s points,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. The Brady team trailed by nine after the first period and were down by 13 at halftime, 34-21. “Liberty Hill came in here playing pretty good basketball,” Epley said. “The twins really hurt us.” The Brady coach said that his team’s shooting is off target, “and that’s frustrating because we spent most of our practices last week working on our shots.” He said the squad would continue to work. “We’re not out of it yet. We play at Ingram Tuesday (tonight) and will host Wimberley Friday.” Jennifer Valdez led the Brady girls in scoring, making 14 points.
