Leon McMillan, 83, of Brady, died Tuesday, Jan. 8 in San Antonio. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed on Monday, Jan. 14 at Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio. Born Sept. 27, 1918 in Concho County, he was the son of Joseph and Annie Laura (Brandstetter) McMillan. He married Mickey Long May 21, 1945 in Brady. He was a farmer and rancher and was a World War II Air Force veteran pilot and 1st Lt. Survivors include his wife, Mickey, of Brady; four sisters, Dorothy Benham of Pipe Creek, Roasalie Baker of Burleson, Rita Fay Goodman of Abilene and Edith Blackwell of Ballinger; and a very large number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His parents and nine brothers, Clinton, Leverett, Lester, Arlie and Oles McMillan and Ted, Gaines, Ovonuel and Leland Baker, all preceded him in death.
