Nan Hazel, an attorney for George & Donaldson law firm in Austin, said Monday that all the claim forms from Stearns investors were hand delivered to Dallas Monday night. “We just wanted Stearns investors to know that we hand delivered approximately 300 claim forms to the receiver in Dallas the day before the deadline,” Ms. Hazel told the Standard-Herald Monday afternoon. She said that George & Donaldson had worked with the Doyal family to get addresses of the investors. “We had 160 Brady people contact our two representatives last Thursday and Friday, and their forms were completed,” Ms. Hazel said. She added that the two agents also talked to an additional 40 persons on the telephone. “We have been notified that the receiver will work with those people who were not available to be contacted. They, too, will be able to still receive funds invested,” Ms. Hazel said. She gave no indication when local people will be getting their checks from the receiver.
