Sadie Deanda Flores, 96, of Melvin, died Friday, Dec. 28 in Brady. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Melvin, Father Colm Mulligan officiating. Burial followed in Melvin Cemetery. Born March 29, 1905 in Mexico, she was the daughter of Martiriano Deanda and Juanita (Flores) Deanda. She married Manuel Flores in November 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Melvin. Survivors include four brothers, Joe and Alejandro Deanda, both of San Antonio, Martin Deanda of San Angelo and Frank Deanda of North Glenn, Colo.; and two sisters, Pauline Castillo of San Angelo and Irene Ramirez of Ft. Lupton, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Fecundo, Lupe and Victoriano Deanda; and a sister, Irene Deanda.
