Julie Elayne Jackson Richardson, 31, of Ballinger, died in an automobile accident Tuesday, Dec. 18 near San Angelo. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at First Baptist Church of Ballinger, Rev. James Stephen of Sonora officiating. Burial followed in Old Runnels Cemetery. She was born Feb. 8, 1970 in Brady. She attended Sonora schools until her junior year where she was an honor student, cheerleader and played basketball. She graduated from Menard High School in 1988. She attended nursing school at Texas State Technical Institute in Sweetwater and graduated in 1992. She married Glen Richardson on Aug. 28, 1993 in Ballinger. She was employed as a licensed vocational nurse at Regency House Nursing Home in San Angelo and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sonora. Survivors include her husband, Glen Richardson, of Ballinger; a son, Brady Richardson also of Ballinger; her mother, Jeanne Jackson of San Angelo; her father and stepmother, Jerry and Martha Jackson of Brady; her in-laws, Glendle and Judy Richardson of Ballinger; a sister, Bonnie Alford and husband, David, of Odessa; a brother, Jerry Dean Jackson, Jr. of San Angelo; a stepbrother, Vance Roberts, and wife, Stephanie, of Casper, Wyo.; and nieces and nephews, Kelan Jackson and Ashley Alford of Odessa and Stacey, Tyler and Chase Roberts of Casper, Wyo. Also surviving are her grandparents, Leroy and Naomi Barina of San Angelo, Irene Brunson of Kerrville and John H. Brunson of Bellingham, Wa.; two aunts, Sandra Armstrong of Ozona and Linda Slaughter of Brady; and five uncles, Mark Brunson of San Angelo, Robert Brunson of Kerrville, Carlton Barina of Garland, Sherrill Barina of Rockwall and Emmitt Barina of Flower Mound, and their families. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, W.W. (Jack) and Frankie Jackson of Menard and Sonora and an uncle, Wallace Jackson of Junction.
