Chester William Tally, 80, of Brady, died Thursday, Dec. 20 in Brady. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Charles Hallford officiating. Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery. Born Aug. 2, 1921 in Comanche, he was the son of Charlie and Lorena (Couch) Tally. He married Dorothy Sheppard May 15, 1947 in Eden. He was an electrician, working for Load Craft until his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Brady Gospel Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Brady; four children, Betty Waite and her husband, Eddie, Evelyn Pitcox and her husband, Cecil, Dale Tally and his wife, Sherri, and Carl Tally and his wife, Janice, all of Brady; a brother, Weldon Talley of Fort Worth; two sisters, Viola Cox of Waco and Myrtle Saulsbury of Troy; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grand children. His brother, Melvin Tally, preceded him in death.
