Chamber banquet set next month, nominees for many honors needed

The annual meeting of the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce has been set for Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at the Heart of Texas Civic Center. Highlights of the evening will include the presentation of the Distinguished Public Service Award, Citizen of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award. “These awards represent the highest honor our community can bestow upon worthy individuals,” said Chamber EVP DeLaine Poe, “and the Chamber wishes to ensure that they consider the most deserving candidates by soliciting public input for the process.” In addition, the Chamber will present two new awards: one for Small Business of the Year and one for Large Business of the Year. Anyone who would like to nominate an individual to be considered for these awards can mail their nomination to the Chamber at 101 East First Street, Brady, Tex. 76825 or phone the Chamber at 597-3491. To be considered for these prestigious awards, persons should submit the individual’s name, the award they are being nominated for and the reasons for nomination. The deadline to submit nominations is Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002.
