Early downs Lady Bulldogs with 24-point fourth quarter

“The frustration continues,” Brady coach Ted Epley said after his Lady Bulldogs lost another game, this time Tuesday night in Early, 43-32. “We finally cut down our turnovers (only seven), but we couldn’t hit a three-pointer to save our lives,” he said. The Lady Dawgs had been shooting pretty decently, but against Early they only hit two of 25 three-point attempts. “Our defense was much improved although Early shot their free throws extremely well, and that was the difference in the game’s outcome,” Epley pointed out. The Brady girls were only down by one point with 1:30 left in the game, but the Lady Dawgs had to foul, and the Lady Longhorns made 12 of 13 free throws. “We are off until Dec. 27 when we face Priddy in the Bangs tournament,” the Brady coach said. Jennifer Valdez led the scoring for Brady against Early with 17 points. The Lady Bulldogs shot 41 percent (nine of 22) from field goal range, were two of 25 from three-point range and eight of 15 (53%) from the free throw line.
