Lady Dawgs continue losing streak, 59-32

The losing streak continued for the Brady Lady Bulldogs last Friday when Lady Billies took a 59-32 non-district basketball victory at Fredericksburg. The loss dropped Brady to 2-11 on the season. “The score at Fredericksburg was actually closer than it looks,” Brady coach Ted Epley said. “We played decently, but again had trouble scoring in the first quarter.” The Lady Billies outscored Brady 14-2 in that period. The score at halftime was 29-13. Down 16 after intermission, the Lady Dawgs made a run early in the third quarter and cut the lead to 12. “Kayce Pollok turned her ankle and that stopped our momentum cold,” Epley said. “Otherwise, we are beginning to play more consistently, and actually played well at times against Abilene Wylie and then Fredericksburg. This competition will pay off down the road,” the Brady coach said. The Lady Dawgs are at Early Tuesday (tonight) then will be off until the Bangs tournament Dec. 27-29.
