The Damrosch Music Club, a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, brought the Christmas season to life at the two Shuffield Nursing Homes Dec. 4, presenting holiday favorites, both sacred and popular. Following the musical programs, all of those participating gathered for the club’s annual Christmas party at the home of Faye Lawler for an elegant meal. During a short business meeting, Elfrieda Shoenewolf received a lifetime membership for the dedication she has given the club. The club members voted to give $500 for the Cleve McDonough Scholarship. After the business meeting, the club members enjoyed singing Christmas carols led by Joanne Dalgard. Wyatt Dodds, son of Kevin and Mary Dodds, entertained the group with selections on the electric guitar and answered questions asked by the club members. Attending were Mary Bates, Kryste Boydstun, Deryl Bishop, Mildren Breckenridge, Cotton Carmichael, Joanne Dalgard, Verona Garner, Mindy Gober, Jeanette Harlow, Faye Lawler, Amy Lott, Wadena McAlister, Mae McWill-iams, Drusilla Miller, Quita Moseley, Connie Nix, Norma Rideout, Pat Sellers, Elfrieda Schoenewolf, Cookie Underwood, Beverly Striegler and Betty Walton.
