Lady Dog JV caged by Abilene Wylie, 50-28

In a game against Abilene-Wylie, the Brady JV girls’ team duked it out, but came up short as Wylie prevailed, 50-28. “This game was a lot closer than the final score indicates,” said coach Chris Wienecke. “We were within six points near the end of the third quarter.” Standouts during this game were Chelsey Bandy who contributed on both offense and defense as well as Anna Zapata who “did well on the boards.” “Besides these two girls, Shana and Dana Hagemann both came up with a lot of steals in the game and are really becoming great defensive players,” said Wienecke. “The great thing about this team is that they continue to work really hard to improve their game.” Scorers for Brady: Erica Hernandez 11, Bandy 9, S. Hagemann 4, Savannah Hernandez 3 and D. Hagemann 1. Score by quarters: Brady 7 4 11 6’28 Wylie 5 15 10 20’50
