Conner, Appleton wed in Independence rites

Marriage vows were exchanged on Oct. 13 at the Antique Rose Emporium Chapel in Independence by Stacie Renae Conner and Frederick Brandon-Ross Appleton. The Rev. Bill Hulin of new Braunfels officiated. Mr. and Mrs. William Gerald Conner of Huntington are parents of the bride. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Joyce Appleton of Eden and the late Edward Ross Appleton. Wedding guests were registered by Megan Reich of Grape Creek, niece of the groom. Alicia Cashell of Tyler attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Billie Jean Buckner of Marshall, Polly Carrell of College Station and Anna Hill of Lufkin. Flower girls were the bride’s niece, Caitlin Cashell of Tyler and Taylor Caffey of Red Rock. Serving his friend as best man was Dale Caffey of Red River. Groomsmen were Thad Maples of Lampasas and Dan Dusek and Casey Hayes, both of San Angelo. The bride’s nephew, Conner Cashell of Tyler and Rhett Caffey of Red River were ring bearers. The ushers were Brandon Bradbury of Marshall and Allen Patranella of Bryan. Mrs. Appleton, a graduate of Huntington High School, received bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. She is pursuing a doctorate at Texas A&M University. Her husband, an Eden High School graduate, is an animal science major at Texas A&M University. He is the grandson of Josephine Haynes and the late Noel R. Haynes and Gusta Mae Appleton and the late E.M. (Fats) Appleton of Brady. Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Appleton are at home in Bryan. Both are employed by Texas A&M University in College Station.
