Abilene Wylie bops Lady Dawgs, 48-34

Playing another basketball power-house, the Brady Lady Bulldogs dropped their match-up with Abilene Wylie here last Tuesday night, 48-34. The Brady team will be at Fredericksburg on Friday (tonight). Wylie jumped out to an early lead and led 14-6 after the first period, and they continued to stretch that to a 27-9 advantage at halftime. The Lady Dawgs played competitively in the third quarter, outscoring the visitors, 11-10, but Wylie went on to “win” the final quarter, 10-5. Brady is now 2-11 on the season. Chelsea Rutherford led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with seven points. Callie Wright and Jana Partin had six each. Other Brady scorers included Jennifer Valdez 5, Kayce Pollok 3, Cassie Williams 3 and Jordan Barley 4. The Lady Dawgs had five three-points. Valdez, Wright, Pollok, Williams and Rutherford each had one. Score by quarters: Abilene Wylie 14 13 11 10’48 Brady 6 3 11 5’34
