J.W. (Chuck) Wilson, 66, of Brady, died Saturday, Dec. 15 in Brady. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at Christian Community Church, Richard Evans officiating. Burial followed at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home. Born April 23, 1935 in Rockdale, he was the son of Talvis Demcie and Lue Ellen (Burnes) Wilson. He married Eula Harper on June 1, 1958 in Cotulla. He was an auto parts salesman and a member of the Christian Community Church. He served in the United States military during the Korean War; worked with the American Cancer Society and United Way; was a certified weather watcher; served as a volunteer firemen for the Brady Volunteer Fire Department; and was a C.B. radio operator and police dispatcher. He is survived by his wife, Eula J. Wilson of Brady; two daughters, Beth Fisher and husband, David, of San Marcos and Evelyn Rutherford of San Angelo; a son, Jeff Wilson of Brady; three brothers, Hank and Pete Wilson of Brady and James Wilson of Mont.; a sister, Maggie Miller of Melvin; eight grandchildren, Amanda Fisher, Daniel and Angela Fisher, Cory Rutherford, Aaron and Courtney Rutherford, Stephanie Rutherford and Jon Hovorak; a great-granddaughter, Ali Rutherford; and two great-grandchildren expected in the spring; and many very special friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
