Jack Edward Weaver, 56, of Menard, died Saturday, Dec. 1, in San Antonio. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Cowboy Church of Menard, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Jeanie Smith and Associates officiating. Burial followed in Fort McKavett Cemetery. Born Feb. 3, 1945, in Eden, he was the son of Macky Weaver and Dorothy (Love) Weaver, formerly of Melvin. He was employed as an inspector for the Texas Department of Agriculture and was a member of the Cowboy Church of Menard. Survivors include his wife, Connie (McHorse) Weaver; a daughter, Holly, and husband, Kevin Rygaard; stepchildren, Traci and Dale Grimes and TraDonn Salathiel; five grandchildren, Austin and Blake Rygaard, Westyn and Madisyn Grimes and Brandi Salathiel; six sisters, Mickey Baird and husband, Jerry Don, of Snyder, Debbie Lange of Mountain Home, Dottie Carlson and husband, Jimmy, of Rochelle, Lisa Murchison of Brady, Melanie Org and husband, Dennis, of Covington, La., and Tammye Haag and husband, Michael of Harper; a special aunt, Fran Hendrickson and numerous nieces, nephews and aunts. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family requests that memorials be made to the Menard Cowboy Church, the Texas Transplant Institute or the Menard EMS.
