Brady Bulldog basketball coach Shawn Dalbert was very impressed with the performance of his team as the Dogs whipped up on Mason here Tuesday night, 91-40. “I was really proud of the kids,” Dalbert said. “Our defense took the Punchers out of their game, and it also kicked up our offense.” Luke Price was exceptionally hot, scoring 20 points and hitting six of 10 shots from three-point range. “He was really lighting it up,” the coach said. The Bulldogs jumped on Mason early. The first quarter ended with Brady on top, 24-5. The score was 45-18 at halftime, and the Bulldogs continued to cruise in the second half. “We didn’t touch 91 last year, and I believe it’s been a while since Brady has got that many points,” Dalbert said. “We stuck to a man defense throughout the game. We still have a ways to go before we’re a really good basketball team.” The night produced well rounded scoring as the second highest scorer behind Price was Clifton Tally, who poured in 11 points. “Our team speed contributed to our output, allowing us to get a number of layups,” Dalbert claimed. Mason is 1-2 on the season while the Dogs are 2-1. Brady was scheduled to face San Angelo Central JV in the first round of the Ballinger tournament which started at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Weather may be a problem because of icy conditions. The Dogs’ next game is at Ballinger on Tuesday, Dec. 4. Score by quarters: Mason 5 13 11 11’40 Brady 24 21 18 28’91 Brady scorers: C.J.
