The Brady Rotary Club met Tuesday at noon at the Caf’ at the Depot. Program chairman Max Gordon introduced PALS teacher Tanya Williams who, in turn, introduced Jackie Skaggs, Brady High School senior. Jackie is a mentor in the PALS program. She discussed the program. PALS means Peer Assistance Leadership. Students assist other students who need help. The PALS program began in the 80s and is now in over 500 schools in Texas. Mentors feel that they receive as much, or more, than the students they help. The $2 bill was won by Dayton Boren by being the lucky handshaker: number 10. Program chairman for Nov. 27 is Clay Jones. The annual Rotary Christmas program will be held Dec. 4 at the Willow Creek Cafe in Mason at 7 p.m.
