Albert Rodriguez celebrated his 100th birthday Saturday as friends and family spanning five generations hosted a celebration at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A native of Melvin, Rodriguez spent most of his life as a migrant worker and sheep shearer in and around McCulloch County. The eldest of eleven children in his own family, he was married twice and is the father of 10 children, five from each marriage. There are five generations currently living including 49 grandchildren, six of which are deceased, 103 great grandchildren and 62 great great grandchildren. His hobbies included singing, fishing and reciting poems. He currently resides at Shuffield No. 2.
