Box tops to cookbooks make news at Brady Elementary

Students at Brady Elementary School will participate in the “Box Tops for Education” program this year to earn money for special student activities and upcoming projects. Parents and students can participate by clipping and saving box top logos from more than 330 participating General Mills products. The box tops may be dropped off in the school office at Brady Elementary from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday until March 1, 2002. The school will earn 10 cents for each box top collected. General Mills will pay Brady Elementary up to $10,000 per year for box tops. H Brady Elementary will have a PTO meeting and first grade music program on Tuesday, Nov. 13 (tonight) at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. A brief PTO meeting will be held first to discuss project ideas and use of funds, and “We need your input,” said Brady Elementary School principal Kelley Hirt. Immediately following the meeting, the first grade students will entertain with a special musical production. Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited. Families wanting to become a member of the Brady Elementary PTO may do so Tuesday evening for $1 per family. All of the proceeds will be used for Brady Elementary projects. H The PTO and Brady Elementary cookbooks are on sale for $10 each. Purchases may be made at the PTO meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 7 or from the school office.
