Brady 7th struggles with Liberty Hill

The Brady seventh grade football teams hosted a pair of Liberty Hill Panther teams Thursday night and failed to post a win despite a valiant effort by both squads. The Gold team was plagued by turnovers as they gave up five on the night that resulted in four Panther touchdowns. “The other team never had to drive more than 30 yards for a score,” said coach Chris Wienecke. “We only gave up 185 yards of offense, but with a short field for the Panthers, they took full advantage of the turnovers. We have to find a way to stop turning the ball over before we can expect to be successful.” Score by quarters Brady 0 0 0 0’0 L. Hill 6 8 6 8’28 h The Black team faced a defensive battle with the Panthers as only one touchdown was scored on the night between both clubs. One Liberty Hill score midway through the second quarter was called back due to a penalty. The winning score for the Panthers came late in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard run. “Our defense played very well except for the one drive on which Liberty Hill scored,” said coach Wienecke. “Offensiely, we just could not get it going and move the ball down the field.” Score by quarters Brady 0 0 0 0’0 L.
