Deadline today for Chamber’s Halloween decorating contest

With All Hallows’ Eve lurking around the corner, the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce has decided to sponsor a Halloween decorating contest’an interesting treat to please everyone this holiday season. Two divisions will be offered again this year, one for businesses and the other for residences. Cash awards will be given to the top three entries in each division. First place in each division will be awarded $50, second place $35 and third place $25. A Halloween or fall harvest theme is recommended for all businesses or residences participating in the contest. Entries will be accepted through 5 p.m. today, and judging will be held Monday night, Oct. 29 unless a business requests to be judged during regular business hours on Monday. ‘For a business or residence to be considered for the contest, they must register with the Chamber prior to Monday night’s judging,’ said Chamber EVP DeLaine Poe. ‘We encourage everyone to register as soon as possible to meet the Friday deadline.’
