Effie Marie Weeks, 77, of Brady, died Monday, Oct. 22 in Eden. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, Rev. Carrie Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Born June 17, 1924, in Ozona, she was the daughter of James Smith and Lillie Pearl Stone Smith. She married Paul Weeks in March of 1975 in Menard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Community Church of Christ in Brady. Survivors include one son, Marshell Williams and wife, Debbie, of Magnolia; two daughters, Darla Roddie and husband, Paul Amesse, of Brady, and Jacqueline Ervin and husband, Phil, of Big Spring; one sister, Emily Lester of Austin; five grandchildren, Mike Sutton, Glenda Smith, Roman Williams, Tara Coby Williams and David Belew; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
