Dee (Blackwell) Bailey, 61, of Brady, died Thursday, Oct. 18 in Brady. Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at Carroll Colony Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Richard Evans officiating. Born October 20, 1940 in Brady, she was the daughter of John Delbert and Grace LaVerne (Williams) Blackwell. She was employed as a van driver for McCulloch County Mental Health and Mental Retardation and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two sons, Tony Blackwell and wife, Debbie, of San Angelo and Karlton Van Dyke, of Brady; two daughters, Dottie Puryear, of Jonesboro and Karla McBee and husband, Ricky, of Brady; three sisters, Jadene Sellman and husband, Gene, of Brady, Rhonda Blackwell, of Brady and Becky Sturdavant and husband, Lonnie, of Guthrie, Okla; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Karl Van Dyke; her parents; a sister, Anna Goodgion; and a brother, Buddy Blackwell; preceded her in death.
